Bionic Ras is the first independent release for South Rakkas Crew. Right out the gate they shocked the Dancehall world with Clappas and killed them again with Red Alert. Two very successful releases through Greensleeves Record’s Rhythm Album series has brought South Rakkas to their ‘Riddim Riddin Series’ debut, Bionic Ras.
Leading the pack is Capelton’'s ‘Long Time’. It remains unanswered even thought many speculate the song confirms a possible feud with Elephant Man. What’s the 411? No one’s talking. The song shuts down all the single man dance styles in Jamaica and calls for a new time when “man and woman fi whine up” together.
Other stand outs include Sizzla’s perfectly timed, ‘Spring Break’ anthem, Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Mr. Easy in combination with new comer Kid Fareigna, Mad Cobra, Maka Diamond, Kid Kurrupt, Ward 21 etc. Also surprise appearances from top UK artists Dynamite MC, and So Solid Crew’s JD both blessing the Riddim with tracks the whole UK can be proud of.
